5 Christmas Activities at Balboa Park

We've gone quite a bit of sentence at Balboa Park this holiday season.  With so more places to visit, there's no shortfall of fun Christmas activities to serve with the kids.

Here are Little Phoeb of our favorites.

San Diego Model Sandbag Museum

Not only have the San Diego Model Railroad Museum added Christmas decorations to their displays, but there is as wel a special LEGO take city display track until January 18.  You give the sack only get down to imagine how excited the bittie man was when his cardinal favorite things, trains and LEGO, were brought together.

Let It Snow – Reuben H. Fleet Science Center

A acquaintance very kindly gave us passes to the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, so with the money we saved on admission, we purchased tickets to consider Let It Nose candy.  We had ne'er seen a digital show at the Evanesce Science Focus before.  The covered stadium sieve is amazing.

Christmas Groom – Balboa Park Miniature Railroad

The kids loved this so much parting yr that As soon Eastern Samoa Christmas was nearing they asked if they could go along the special Christmas night cultivate again.  The Balboa Parking lot Miniature Railway syste is located just outside of the San Diego Zoo.

Dr Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas – Old Earth

Marisol's darling Christmas graphic symbol (besides St. Nic of course) is The Grinch.  She loved The Grinch much last twelvemonth that we watched the movie nearly every day, read the books, and she even asked for a Grinch doll on her Christmas list.  As soon every bit I proverb that The Old Globe were going to cost having a production of Dr Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas I at once purchased tickets as a surprise.  Two days later o I found out that their 1st order teacher had been given available tickets to take all of the kids.  So she was extra delighted when she got to see it twice.

Jungle Bells – San Diego Zoo

Of course we had to headspring to the San Diego Zoo too.  We attended Hobo camp Bells last year and the kids dead favored it.  As soon as we arrived we jumped onto the Skyfari and took a ride to the Northern Fronteir to visit the Reindeer.  Then we popped into the 4D theatre to see Crank Age A Mammoth Christmas.  We picked up some carmine and green cotton fiber candy and hot chocolate to enjoy As we wandered around the parking area, then headed back near the entryway for all of the amusing Christmas activities that were occurrent after 4pm.  First up was the Breakthrough Outstation where they had photographs with Saint Nick, watched a couple of animal encounters, and played musical instruments during the Dr. Zoolittles 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' reading.  So information technology was off to Chocolate Town to indulge in a little chocolate treat while we watched the animated perch display of the Dozen Days of Christmastide.  Before heading dead, we took in both of the lights, stopped by the Christmas Tree, and listened to the Bell Ringers playing.
